About the Artist
Tré Taliaferro (b. January 18, 1996) is a contemporary fine artist from Powhatan, Virginia, whose career began in September 2013. Originally focused on canvas work, he has since expanded into large-scale murals, bringing his distinctive style of abstract realism to both intimate and public spaces.
Though his palette often embraces bold and unexpected color choices, Tré’s artistic foundation is deeply inspired by American painters such as Mark Maggiori, Angela Moulton, Will Rochfort and Solly Smook, as well as several other international artists. Working with some of the most premium acrylic paints in the world, he combines exceptional craftsmanship with expressive storytelling, creating pieces that balance the recognizable and the interpretive within a single composition.
Over the course of his career, Tré has earned international and scholastic awards, presented solo exhibitions, and received recognition across multiple platforms, including magazines, newspapers, television, and radio. His evolving body of work continues to push boundaries, inviting viewers to connect with art in new and meaningful ways.
